Trip Itinerary
Yatra By Helicopter
In the early morning, board a helicopter from Dehradun for a journey to Kedarnath. Upon arrival, proceed to have Darshan at the revered Kedarnath temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Situated on the banks of River Mandakini, this sacred temple is said to have been constructed by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century, with beliefs attributing its original creation to the Pandavas. Adorning the temple’s front is a rock statue of Nandi bull. After the spiritual experience, return to the helipad for the flight back to Dehradun, continuing your onward journey from there
Yatra By Road
The route to Kedarnath temple spans 16 kilometers by road, commencing from Gaurikund. This path is meticulously crafted and upheld by the dedicated team members of NIM (Nehru Institute of Mountaineering), ensuring its quality and safety for pilgrims embarking on the Kedarnath Yatra.
Here’s a simplified version of the route map from Gaurikund to Kedarnath Trek:
Gaurikund to Rambara Bridge: 6 km
Rambara Bridge to Jungle Chatti: 4 km
Jungle Chatti to Bheembali: 3 km
Bheembali to Linchauli: 4 km
Kedarnath Base Camp to Kedarnath Temple: 1 km
